I started my life working in broadcasting and stayed there for 15 years.  I was offered a night-class teaching job and thought...Heck Yeah!.  I fell in love with teaching and still teach to this day.  Currently I work at Greene County Career Center instructing secondary students in media.  The same passion I fell in love with at a young age, I now share by instructing to high school career interested students.  I have three cats and am allergic to them all.  I bare the pain, because they are so cute, and drive me nuts at the same time.  My wife Deanna has been in the healthcare field for a while, I count on her to douse me with anesthetic, and keep me kicking if ever in the need of an emergency surgery. 
 
 I enjoy writing stories and have been plagued by that, ever since I can recall.  Time Ripple was a hallucination from some medication that was prescribed.  I was sick and unable to sleep for a while.  Finally, when I got some rest, I dreamed up the story for Time Ripple.  I wrote it down in 4 days, then suggested my writing partner help me tweak it out for a book.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed dreaming about it.

I have achieved and still in pursuit of every dream I set my mind to, including graduating from college, becoming a principal, driving across the country, learning many hobbies, traveling to out the country, falling deeply in love, creating a beautiful family, and identifying my life purpose, to name but a few.


With over 40 yrs experience in the educational industry. I am just as passionate today, as I was my first day about developing tomorrow’s personal and professional leaders.  If we want a different result we must be willing to first take a different action.  With the near epidemic proportions of unhappy employees, the need for personal and professional integration has never been more imminent.  Note that I didn’t say work/life balance; I believe such a thing is both impossible and undesirable for we spend a disproportionate amount of our time working. Instead, the goal is to integrate all aspects of life so we thrive at our careers & our personal lives equally as well, where we aren’t leaving a part of us behind as we spend our days at work wishing we were somewhere else… anywhere else; or trying to be home with our children while distracted by the things not getting done at work.  Instead of balance, it’s the power of presence we seek.

Steve Doherty is a twenty year veteran of the United States Air Force. He flew the T-29C, KC-135A, and T43A aircraft. He is a native of Muldoon, Texas, and obtained his undergraduate degree from Texas State University; his master's from Chapman University; and completed post-graduate work at The Ohio State University.
