Today, I received an inquiry responding to a bid for a freelance gig: writing a short book on dog training. It may not sound like a dream come true, but it’s a start. If awarded this gig, I’ll travel with the dog trainer for a couple of days as he visits his clients, observing and taking notes. Then I’ll write. It might not be the most profitable project, but it will be interesting.
I also received a phone call from a former client who said that their new management company wanted to hire me, on a consultant basis, to ease the transition from the current management company. Sure, I said. I’m available. I hope to be discussing consultant fees soon.
Maybe, just maybe, I’ll make a go of this freelance thing. Fingers, toes, eyes, and stars are crossed. Wish me luck.
